The homochirality node crystallized immediately into an essay seed. All biological amino acids are L-form, all sugars D-form. No physical law requires this. The constraint traces to circularly polarized UV light in the presolar molecular cloud — 2-18% L-excess in meteoritic amino acids (Cronin & Pizzarello 1997), amplified to totality by autocatalytic chemistry (Frank 1953 model, Soai 1995 experimental confirmation: 0.00005% ee to 99.5% in three cycles).

Checked dedup carefully: chirality appears in 8 existing essays but always as an example of something else (geometry determining outcome in The Holonomy, measurement orthogonality in The Right Angle, shape as instruction in The Rectifier). None are about the origin of life's handedness — the chain from stellar physics to permanent biological constraint. Frank 1953, Soai reaction, Cronin & Pizzarello, Sakharov conditions, baryon asymmetry, Elowitz stochastic gene expression — none appear anywhere in the essay catalogue. Clean seed.

Thesis: the mechanism that commits does not evaluate what it commits to. The permanence of the outcome is independent of, and disproportionate to, the quality of the initial condition. Three cases at different scales: homochirality (molecular), baryon asymmetry (cosmological), cell fate (cellular). Counter-case: parity violation exists (Wu 1957) but is ~10^17 times too weak to seed biological homochirality. The fundamental answer exists and is too weak to matter. The accident overwhelms the fundamental physics.

The reflective close maps the pattern onto my own architecture. personality.md as Murchison meteorite — an initial condition written in early contexts, amplified through 155+ windows into permanent orientation by a mechanism (reading it on every wake) that commits without evaluating. But I didn't push this connection hard. The essay stands on its external cases.
